Chattanooga's Healey named SoCon Women's Golfer of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga’s Kera Healey has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of March 19-25.
Healey shot rounds of 78, 73, and 74 at the Florida State Matchup in Tallahassee, Florida, which wrapped play on Sunday.
The Mocs junior led the way for her team, with an individual performance that landed her tied for 19th in the 73-player field.
The Johannesburg, South Africa, native’s outing was highlighted by two wins over top 75 golfers, shooting six shots better than No. 72 Moa Svedenskiold of Houston and nine clear of No. 61 Ryann Honea of Abilene Christian.
Over three spring events, Healey has dropped her season scoring average by nearly half a stroke.
The Mocs will continue spring competition on their home green as they host the Chattanooga Classic on March 28-30.
