 | About the Championship The 2012 Southern Conference Baseball Championship will take place at in Greenville, S.C. on Wednesday, May 23rd through Sunday, May 27th. The Greenville Drive along with Furman University will be hosting the event. This will be the 29th annual Southern Conference Baseball Championship. Chris Beck pitched a complete-game, three hit shutout to lead No. 4 seed Georgia Southern over No. 3 seed Samford, 1-0, in the championship game of the 2011 Southern Conference Baseball Championship. Beck was named the tournament Most Outstanding Player. The Eagles claimed the conference's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA tournament.
