About the Championship

The 2015 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship was held on Sunday, April 19, through Tuesday, April 21, at Pinehurst No. 9 in Pinehurst, N.C.

ETSU won the 79th annual Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship in a sudden-death playoff against UNCG after the squads tied for the lead after 54 holes of regulation with identical 2-under-par 862s. The Bucs' title was their league-record 18th and secured the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.

The individual race was just as exciting, as Western Carolina's J.T. Poston won his second straight title, this time in a sudden-death playoff with ETSU's Adrian Meronk. After the duo tied with 9-under 207s in regulation, Poston birdied the first playoff hole to claim the SoCon's individual automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
