Fast start for Keydets leads to run-rule win over Lancers
VMI Baseball put up 14 runs through the first three innings, including two grand slams, to storm past Longwood on Tuesday at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium. The slugging Keydets (18-11, 3-3 SoCon) continue their hot streak at the plate, defeating the Lancers, 17-6, in eight innings. This is the eighth run-rule victory for VMI this season and the 17th time they have scored double-digit runs.

Wofford Baseball Wins First-Ever Game at Fifth Third Park
Tuesday night at Fifth Third Park in downtown Spartanburg was historic as the city's two Division I baseball programs, Wofford and USC Upstate, battled in the ballpark's first-ever game. The Terriers claimed a 5-2 triumph behind stellar pitching and early scoring, improving to 21-9 on the season. Upstate drops to 14-14 on the year.

Extra-Base Hits Power Catamounts Past the Mountaineers
WCU (14-15) powered its way to a 13-5 lead through six complete innings before the Mountaineers rallied to within three, 13-10, in the top of the eighth inning. Mason Holton legged out an inside-the-park home run in the home half of the eighth to provide the final tally with Brandon Langley securing his fourth save of the season by stranding a pair of runners in the ninth inning as the Catamounts improved to 4-0 in midweek nonconference games at home.
NC State Takes Down UNCG Baseball with Late Runs in Midweek Showdown
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team was defeated 9-6 by the NC State Wolfpack in a non-conference midweek game on Tuesday night at Doak Field at Dail Park. The Spartans got on the board with five runs on four hits and help from an error during the second inning. Luke Holland got the rally started with a one-out triple to center. Luke Jenkins then singled to left to score Holland from third. After Jose Perez was hit by a pitch, Tyler Steele launched a no-doubt three-run home run out to left to make it 4-0. UNCG kept it going in the second with Jeremy Wolf doubling to left before stealing third and scoring on a throwing error down to third.

No. 25 Georgia Tech Uses Two Big Innings To Down Bears
No. 25 Georgia Tech used an eight-run first inning to jump out to a big lead and did not look back, downing Mercer by a score of 21-5 on Tuesday night. Titan Kamaka (1-for-4) and Eli Stephens (1-for-2) homered to lead the Bears at the plate. Wyatt Mummert (0-1) got the loss, while Sam Swygert (1-1) took the win. 
Samford's Late Rally Falls Just Short At No. 8 Alabama
The Samford University baseball team plated seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to cut an eight-run deficit to one, but the Bulldogs could not get over the hump as they eventually fell, 11-9, at eighth-ranked Alabama Tuesday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the loss, Samford fell to 14-15 on the season. Alabama improved to 26-4 with the win.
