Chattanooga’s Bonham named SoCon Player of the Week
Senior led the Mocs to a pair of victories
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga guard Trey Bonham has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all contests from Dec. 9-15. The award is selected by the league office.
Bonham logged 22 points on 8-for-12 shooting, along with three rebounds and three assists in a 75-67 win at Evansville on Dec. 12. Three days later, the senior from Mobile, Alabama, finished with 21 points, four rebounds and four assists as the Mocs defeated Alabama A&M, 85-63, on Dec. 15.
For the week, Bonham shot 14-for-21 (.667) from the field, including 7-for-12 (.583) from 3-point range. He also went 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the two games.
Chattanooga (7-4) hosts Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday before playing at Indiana on Saturday.
