Saturday's men's basketball roundup

No. 10 Marquette 94, Western Carolina 62

Senior forward Bernard Pelote led the way with 13 points and eight rebounds, but Western Carolina could not overcome a late first-half burst from #10/11 Marquette as the Golden Eagles claimed a 94-62 victory on Saturday afternoon at Fiserv Forum. With the conclusion of Saturday's action, WCU finishes off a gauntlet run of three games, battling a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foes and nationally-ranked Marquette.

ETSU 79, Austin Peay 57

Chalk up another 20-point win and a fourth straight victory for the Buccaneers.
 
Coming off a 20-point win at Charlotte on Wednesday, the ETSU men's basketball team returned home to close out November by taking down Austin Peay 79-57 on Saturday inside Freedom Hall.

No. 1 Kansas 86, Furman 51

KJ Adams scored a game-high 22 points and No. 1 Kansas connected on 10 of its first 11 shots in the second half to key a 27-13 run as the Jayhawks claimed an 86-51 victory over Furman on Saturday night at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan.
 
After Furman's Nick Anderson opened the second half with a triple to cut the Kansas advantage to eight at 39-31, the Jayhawks scored the next eight points and hit on 10 of their next 11 shots in the half to open a 62-38 lead on David Coit's three with 11:51 left. The Jayhawks shot 60.9% from the field on the night, outscored the Paladin 62-14 in the paint, and managed 18 points in transition.
