Furman’s Morlan named SoCon men’s golfer of the week
Finished in the top 5 at the Gators Invitational

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Will Morlan has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Feb. 12-18. The selection is made by the league office.
Morlan finished fourth at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Florida, which wrapped play on Sunday. The senior posted rounds of 66-70-69 for a tournament score of 205 (-5). The Alpharetta, Georgia, native led the field in par-3 scoring (2.80) and was one of two golfers to achieve two eagles during the event.
Furman finished tied for sixth in the 14-team, 78-golfer field, with a tournament score of 849. The Paladins shot 280 in the first round, 284 in the second round and 285 in the final round.
The Paladins will play their next tournament at the Seminole Intercollegiate in Thomasville, Georgia, on March 10-11.
