ETSU’s Bressum named SoCon men’s golfer of the week
Shot 11-under at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Kristian Bressum have been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Oct. 30-Nov. 5. The selection is made by the league office.
Bressum shot an 11-under-par at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii, which wrapped play on Monday. The native of Randers, Denmark, posted rounds of 65-66-71 for a tournament score of 202 (-11). The senior finished the event tied for second in pars (39) and tied for third in par-3 scoring (2.83).
ETSU finished 12th in the 21-team, 123-golfer field, with a, 18-under 834 performance. The field included five teams ranked in the top 50, including second-ranked Oklahoma. The Buccaneers shot 271 in the first round, 282 in the second round and 281 in the final round.
The Bucs will play their next tournament at the Battle of Briar's Creek in Johns Island, South Carolina, on Feb. 3-4.
