ETSU and UNCG share the lead at SoCon Men’s Golf Championship following two rounds of play

Spartans’ Dutton leads at 9-under-par

GREENSBORO, Ga. – ETSU and UNCG share the lead at the 2025 Southern Conference Men’s Golf Championship following the second round of play at par-72, 7,393-yard Oconee Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia. The Spartans’ Collin Dutton holds the individual lead after shooting a 6-under-par 66 during the second round, giving him a three-stroke lead.

ETSU entered the day three shots back of UNCG, but closed the gap after shooting a 6-under 282 in the second round. The Spartans shot a 3-under 285 on day two, bringing their overall score to 14-under-par 562.

Western Carolina is in third after logging the best score of the day at 9-under 279, giving the Catamounts a two-day total of 10-under 566. Furman sits in fourth at 8-under 568, following an 8-under-par 280 in the second round.

Chattanooga is in the fifth spot at 3-under 573, while Samford moved up one spot to sixth with an even-par 288 second-round performance, bringing its tournament score to 1-over 589. Wofford is in seventh at 4-over 580 and Mercer rounds out the field with a tournament score of 5-over 581.

Dutton’s second round showing was fueled by seven birdies, bringing his tournament total to 12, which leads the field. Western Carolina’s Callum Waugh also shot a 6-under-par 66 in the second round, rising up the leaderboard 15 spots to enter the final round in second place. Waugh’s teammate, Ivan Ninkovic, is part of a quartet of golfers that are tied for third at 5-under-par for the tournament. The other players in third place are ETSU’s Yannick Malik and Gavin Tiernan and Wofford’s Max Cranford.

Four players from three different schools are tied for seventh at 3-under-par. ETSU’s Kristian Bressum, Furman’ Will Morlan and UNCG’s Jake Lewis and Jack Marcotte hold that position.
