It was a dramatic Saturday evening at historic Snyder field as the Wofford men's soccer team won in comeback fashion against UNC Greensboro 3-2 on Senior night. With UNC Greensboro being ranked 21st in RPI this season, the win is the highest ranked win for the Terriers at Snyder Field since 2013 against No.16 Elon (2-1). This is also the first win against UNC Greensboro since 2018.
Furman matched a season-high with four goals on Saturday night en route to a 4-1 victory over VMI in Southern Conference men's soccer action on Seagraves Field at Stone Stadium. With the victory, Furman improved to 6-3-2 on the season and evened its conference record at 1-1. VMI slipped to 5-7-2 overall and 0-3 in SoCon play.The Keydets (5-7-2, 0-3-0) dropped their third Southern Conference matchup this season at the hands of the Paladins (6-3-2, 1-1-0), 4-1. VMI still searches for their first conference win while Furman nabs three points with the victory. Next weekend, the Keydets head back to Patchin Field to host UNC Greensboro who stands 1-1-1 in league play after falling to Wofford Saturday night.
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team fell 3-2 to the Wofford Terriers in The Southern Conference (SoCon) action on Saturday night at Snyder Field. Wofford scored three goals in just over 12 minutes to snap UNCG's impressive nine-game unbeaten streak. The Spartans scored the first and last goals of the match.
