The 2014 Southern Conference Men's Soccer Championship will take place on Thursday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 15,in Greensboro, N.C. The event will be held at the UNCG Soccer Stadium on UNCG’s campus. This will be the 27th annual Southern Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The Nos. 3-6 seeds will play in the quarterfinals (first round) at campus sites on Saturday, Nov. 8, and the winners will advance to the semifinals in Greensboro, N.C. The top two seeds have byes into the semifinals. In the 2013, in a rainy defensive stalemate between the two top-scoring teams in the SoCon, Elon’s Jason Waterman scored the only goal of the match in the second overtime period as the Phoenix became just the second team in league history to win the title three consecutive times, joining Furman, which did so from 1999-2001.
