Chattanooga’s Jupa named SoCon Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga’s Jakub Jupa has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from March 19–25. The selection is made by the league office.

The junior from the Czech Republic earned a pair of wins at the No. 1 spot against league-leading Samford last Friday (March 22), posting a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 comeback victory over Maxwell Giddens after teaming with partner Peyton Gatti at No. 1 doubles for a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs’ Giddens and Sandeep Mohandoss.

Chattanooga (7-11, 1-1 SoCon) is scheduled to open a four-match conference road swing on Friday (March 29) when the team visits Wofford (7-8, 2-2).
