East Tennessee State University softball won its first game by run-rule since April 18, 2023 in a 12-2 rout of Dartmouth on Friday.
In the opening game of the day, the Bucs took their second loss at home, falling 6-5 to North Dakota. Mercer got a pair of solid outings from sophomore right-handers Grace Roark and Gabby Ellis on the way to a series-opening doubleheader split with visiting Binghamton on Friday evening at Sikes Field. The Bearcats used a pair of solo homers to grab the series opener, 2-1, but the Bears evened up the weekend with a 3-1 victory in the nightcap.
