USC Upstate used multi-run innings over the first four frames to seize control and claim a 16-3 midweek victory over Western Carolina softball on Tuesday afternoon in single-game action at Cyrill Stadium.The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball team fell to non-conference foe Coastal Carolina, 14-5, in five innings on Tuesday at UNCG Softball Stadium.UNCG is 32-13 overall and Coastal Carolina is 33-12 overall.Senior Olivia Lipari's fourth inning home run was the difference in Chattanooga's 2-1 win over Lipscomb Tuesday evening at Frost Stadium. The Mocs claimed their 30th win over the season improving to 30-11 overall while the Bisons fall to 20-23 on the year.

Wofford's softball program (27-16, 8-4 SoCon) lost a nailbiter to Winthrop (25-18,6-5 Big South) in extra innings. The Terriers' late seventh inning rally was usurped by a Winthrop walk-off in the eighth to bring the final score to 6-7 in Rock Hill on Tuesday, April 15. Freshman right-hander Grace Jones turned in five innings of solid work in the circle, and helped her own cause with a clutch 2-run single in the fifth, as visiting Mercer finished off a season sweep of in-state foe Georgia Southern with a 4-2 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday evening at the GS Softball Complex.
