Chattanooga takes down ETSU in SoCon showdown
Chattanooga earned an impressive SoCon win on Saturday afternoon, taking down ETSU by a score of 51-46. The Mocs got out to a 24-20 lead by halftime, and then came out and outscored the Buccaneers again in the second half to come away with the victory.
Caia Elisaldez scored 22 points while grabbing a season-high seven boards to lead the way for Chattanooga.
Braylyn Milton scored 15 points, while Meghan Downing added another nine to lead the way for ETSU.
UNC Greensboro clinches outright regular season title with win against Western Carolina
UNC Greensboro recorded its ninth straight win and clinched the SoCon regular season title after handing Western Carolina a 57-53 loss at Fleming Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans went into the break leading by one point and then outscored the Catamounts 34-31 over the final 20 minutes to secure the win.
Nya Smith scored 14 points to lead the way for UNC Greensboro.
WCU's offense was led by Avyonce Carter, who scored 14 points.
Paulk, Wofford take down Mercer
Wofford overcame Mercer's early lead and broke a streak of two consecutive losses, winning 65-64 on Saturday evening at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The Terriers put together a great second half to come away with the victory, as they were down 34-24 after the first 20 minutes.
Evangelia Paulk scored 19 points to lead the way for Wofford.
Nahawa Diarra recorded 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the way for Mercer.
Johnson, Samford earn win over Furman
Samford recorded its fifth straight win, handing Furman a 73-62 loss at Davis Field House on Saturday evening. The Bulldogs went into halftime with a 42-31 lead and were able to hold off the Paladins for the final 20 minutes.
Claire Johnson scored 25 points to lead the way for Samford. Johnson was particularly effective from three-point land, knocking down 4-of-9 attempts.
Furman was led by Jada Session, who scored 18 points while collecting 11 boards.
