Wofford’s Evangelia Paulk named SoCon player of the week
Sophomore logged second triple-double in program history

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Evangelia Paulk has been named Southern Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 18-24, logging a triple-double and averaging 18 points and eight rebounds this week. This award is selected by the league office.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, Paulk scored 17 points, secured 10 rebounds, and made 10 steals to log the second triple-double in Wofford program history in a 62-54 setback against Samford. She became the first SoCon player to record a triple-double with steals as a marker, and the first in the NCAA since 2023.
In a 65-64 thriller against Mercer on Saturday, Feb. 22, the Asheville, North Carolina, product followed up her historic performance with 19 points, six rebounds, and four steals. For the week, the sophomore averaged 18 points, 6.5 rebounds and seven steals. Paulk is eighth in the NCAA in total steals (87) and fifth in steals per game (3.48).
Wofford (16-9, 8-4 SoCon) travels to ETSU on Thursday then to Chattanooga for the regular season finale on Saturday.
