The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team earned a dominating victory over the Le Moyne Dolphins, 83-61, on Friday to conclude the 2024 Puerto Rico Clasico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum. Jayde Gamble led the game with 20 points, going 7-for-14 from the field. Nya Smith followed closely behind with 15 points after going 3-for-6 from behind the arc. As a team, the Spartans went 14-for-29 at the three-point line. The last time UNCG scored 14 or more three-pointers was during the 2022-23 season when the squad tallied 15 against the University of Virginia-Lynchburg on Dec. 21, 2022, in Fleming Gym

Pennsylvania 74, Chattanooga 61

Chattanooga women's basketball dropped the team's opening round matchup of the 2024 FGCU Homewood Suites Tournament on Friday, with UTC falling 74-61 to Penn University in Alico Arena. Foul trouble proved too much to overcome for the Mocs, as the Quakers were able to win the game from the charity stripe by knocking down 21 of their 27 free throw attempts on their way to the win. Not even a career-high 17 points from Takia Davis could help the Mocs pull out the result in the end.

Steven F. Austin 90, Samford 66

Samford was led in the loss by Alonya Waldon with a career-high 19 points. Kennedy Langham added 14 points for the Bulldogs. Stephen F. Austin was led by Avery Vansickle with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Harmanie Dominguez added 15 points for the Ladyjacks.
