UNCG 66, Western Carolina 58
The UNC Greensboro women's basketball team clawed past the Catamounts of Western Carolina on Saturday afternoon, 66-58. Three Spartans reached double-figures in the game with Jayde Gamble leading the team with 17 points. Nya Smith followed closely behind with 16 points, while Khalis Cain registered her third double-double of the season and 18th of her career with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Western Carolina's Southern Conference-leading offense paced by the league's top scorer AC Carter pushed the conference's top-scoring defense early in Saturday's instate matchup against UNC Greensboro. However, the Catamounts were unable to withstand a strong fourth-quarter push by the veteran Spartan squad as UNCG avoided a second consecutive road defeat at WCU in escaping Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center with a 66-58 decision.

Furman 57, Mercer 47
Tate Walters led three Paladins in double figures Saturday afternoon as Furman knocked off the Mercer Bears, 57-47, in Southern Conference women's basketball action inside Hawkins Arena. Walters paced Furman offensively with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting while Jada Session and Clare Coyle contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively. Session and Coyle both led all players with nine rebounds apiece. Sydney Ryan contributed nine points and Chantelle Stuart finished one assist shy of tying her career high after dishing out six.

Visiting Furman shot better than 46 percent from the field and held Mercer without a field goal for the final three minutes of regulation on the way to a 57-47 victory over the Bears on Saturday afternoon in Hawkins Arena. The Bears (6-14, 1-4 SoCon) scored 14 points off of 13 turnovers by the Paladins and posted double-digit assists (10) for the first time in five games.

Chattanooga 48, ETSU 46
It was a nail-biting, defensive classic between Chattanooga women's basketball and East Tennessee State on Saturday in the Roundhouse, but it was ultimately a clutch basket by Caia Elisaldez with just 0:24 left in the game that proved the difference as the Mocs claimed a 48-46 victory over their in-state rival. The Mocs (9-9, 4-1 SoCon) leaned heavily upon their defense to survive a late comeback push from the Buccaneers (11-9, 2-3 SoCon).

East Tennessee State University women's basketball fell 48-46 at Chattanooga on Saturday. Senior guard Braylyn Milton led the Bucs with 21 points and eight rebounds. 5th year guard Courtney Moore scored 11 for her seventh consecutive double-digit game, and junior forward Meghan Downing grabbed ten rebounds and added four blocks.

Wofford 84, Samford 49
The Wofford women's basketball team jumped on the Samford Bulldogs early and never looked back Saturday afternoon as the Terriers dispatched the Bulldogs 84-49 in the Pete Hanna Center. Wofford remains unblemished in conference play at 5-0 while improving to 13-5 overall. Samford drops to 6-15 (1-4 SoCon). The 5-0 SoCon start is the best in program history.

The Samford women's basketball team dropped an 84-49 decision to SoCon-leading Wofford Saturday afternoon in the Pete Hanna Center. With the loss, Samford fell to 6-15 overall and 1-4 in Southern Conference play. Wofford improved to 13-5 overall and 5-0 in league play.
