Sunday's Women's Basketball Roundup

No. 24 Nebraska 66, Chattanooga 42

Chattanooga women's basketball came up short in a Top 25 matchup this Sunday, with the Mocs falling to No. 24 Nebraska, 66-42, at PinnacleBank Arena in Lincoln. While the Mocs (4-8) were able to keep the game within single digits over the course of the first half, Nebraska's three-point shooting and defense proved too much in the long run for UTC to handle as the Cornhuskers pulled away in the final 20 minutes of the game.

Tulane 73, Mercer 46

Visiting Mercer forced 20 turnovers by home-standing Tulane, including 13 in the first half alone, but the Green Wave countered with 48 percent field goal shooting, as well as a 14-for-20 performance from the free throw line, to key a 73-46 win over the Bears on Sunday afternoon in Avron B. Fogelman Arena. The result marked the third-straight loss for the Orange & Black (4-8) who has forced nearly 15 turnovers (14.8) per game over its last four outings, and matched a season-high with 12 steals on Sunday.
