VMI’s Mousaw named SoCon Wrestler of the Week
Senior Finished Eighth at Soldier Salute
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – VMI’s Tyler Mousaw has been named the Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for all competition from Dec. 20-Jan. 2. The selection is made by the league office.
Mousaw finished eighth at the Soldier Salute, Dec. 29-30, after capturing a pair of wins during the two-day event. He opened the tournament with a 17-0 technical fall over Cameron Geuther of Manchester, Iowa, and won his second bout of the tournament by pinning Bellarmine’s William Muckler just 55 seconds into their matchup.
The Keydets will return to the mat on Jan. 13, when the team hosts Hofstra.
