Bellis Leads Way for App State with Ranked Win in Las Vegas
Chad Bellis led the way for App State Wrestling at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Friday, reaching the final 12 in a 133-pound bracket with 11 ranked wrestlers thanks to an overtime win against 17th-ranked Brett Ungar from Cornell.
Davidson Wrestling Goes Down to Final Match at Duke
The Davidson College wrestling team dropped a close dual match to the Duke Blue Devils, 22-21, in Cameron Indoor Stadium on Friday night. The Wildcats eliminated a 19-9 deficit with four matches left to make it interesting late. Blake Reihner won a 4-2 decision at 141 pounds to stop Duke's momentum and make it 19-12.

The Keydets, who fall to 4-4 overall, could not keep up with their three opponents of Virginia, Edinboro, and King. VMI earned seven individual bout victories including two major decisions and one technical fall.

For the Runnin' Bulldogs, Takeo Davis once again proved to be a standout. The redshirt freshman posted perhaps the best individual day for Gardner-Webb, making it all the way to the third place match in the 125 pound class
Davidson Falls to Edinboro in Sunday Dual
The Davidson College wrestling team fell to the Edinboro Fighting Scots in dual action, 30-10, at Belk Arena on Sunday afternoon. No. 23 Tanner Peake, Bryce Griffin, and Marc Koch were the victorious Wildcats in the match.
