Campbell's Shannon Hanna named SoCon Wrestler of the Week

Campbell’s Shannon Hanna has been selected as the Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Dec. 18- 24.  

Hanna, a native of Lakeland, Florida, went undefeated during the Knockout Christmas Classic in his home state on Dec. 21.  

The accounting graduate student went 3-0 in the 141-pound weight class, including a 4-2 decision victory against 15th-ranked Jordan Titus of West Virginia.  

Along with the victory over a ranked opponent, Hanna defeated Brock Bobzien of Wisconsin and Michael Olson of North Dakota State, both wins via decision.  

Hanna is ranked 28^th in the latest Intermat DI wrestling rankings, climbing two spots from his previous ranking. 

Campbell will open 2025 at the Southern Scuffle, hosted by SoCon opponent, Chattanooga, on Jan. 4 - 5.
