Mayer pin lifts Bellarmine wrestling over The Citadel 23-17 on Friday night
If anyone in Bellarmine University athletics knows how to put on a show, it's Ned Shuck's wrestling team. Locked in a 17-17 battle with The Citadel, the dual came down to the heavyweights and Daulton Mayer did not disappoint, pinning his opponent to secure the 23-17 win for the Knights on Friday night in Knights Hall.

Despite a slew of strong performances from Carson DesRosier (149 lbs), Tyler Badgett (157 lbs) and Thomas Snipes (165 lbs), The Citadel (7-4, 3-2 SoCon) stumbled in the team's early-weekend road clash at Bellarmine (3-3, 2-2 SoCon), falling to the Knights via a tight 23-17 decision Friday evening at Knights Hall.

Runnin' Bulldogs Score SoCon Win With Dominant Performance Against Presbyterian
The action started easy for Gardner-Webb on Friday night, with the Runnin' Bulldogs scoring forfeit victories at 125 pounds and 157 pounds to go ahead and build a lead. By the time No. 28 ranked graduate student Todd Carter finished off a 9-4 decision over Ryan Luna of Presbyterian, GWU was ahead 20-3 on the scoreboard and well in control. Junior Josh McCutchen then defeated Toler Hornick by a 15-0 tech fall, and senior Peyton McComas easily scored a win over Morevens Saint-Jean by fall, eventually finishing out the lopsided victory for the Runnin' Bulldogs
