Semifinal/Final: November 6 & 8 Host: #1 Seed - UNC Greensboro

The 2009 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship will take place on Friday Nov. 6^th  & Sunday, Nov. 8^th. This will be the 16^th Annual Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship. The participating teams in this year's championship will be the top four teams in the conference as determined by the Conference's current points system (3 points for a win / 1 point for a tie). The host will be the institution with the highest points at the end of the regular season that has lights.

The semifinal matches will take place on Friday, Nov. 6th at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The championship match will take place on Sunday, Nov. 8th at 1:00 p.m. (All times subject to change). The winner of the Women's Soccer Championship receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

At last year's Championship in Mt. Pleasant, SC, second-seeded Western Carolina defeated first-seeded UNC Greensboro with a 2-0 win on penalty kicks after a 0-0 final. This marked Western Carolina's second Conference title in the program's history, their other win being in 2005.
