THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The first women's tennis championship was held in 1984 in Johnson City, TN, where Chattanooga began a three-year run at the title. Furman has won 14 titles, including eight of the last nine. Chattanooga has five titles with Georgia Southern with 2. College of Charleston and Marshall also have claimed the championship.
