The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team fell in a 4-3 battle with Campbell on Saturday afternoon in its 2025 home opener at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center. Elisabeth Birkevold and Lauren Thomson's doubles contest with Mollie Garcia and Sonia Pieczynska remained unfinished on court two, 5-5, as the Spartans went into singles play on top, 1-0.
Louisville 5, Chattanooga 2
The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team opened weekend action in Murfreesboro, Tenn., with a tight 5-2 loss to ACC-member Louisville in a neutral site matchup inside the MTSU Indoor Facility on Saturday. With Louisville (2-1) surrendering the No. 3 doubles spot, Chattanooga (0-3) nearly came away with the big team point after both the No. 1 duo of Alice Hall and Rozalie Dohnalova and No. 2 tandem of Madlena Orlova and Savannah Presson lost in tie-breaking fashion by similar 7-6 (7-5) decisions.
