Relive the excitement of the 2011 SoCon Indoor Track Field Championships with this event highlight!

The 2011 Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships were held on Saturday, February 26th and Sunday, February 27th. The Southern Conference hosted the meet at the Clemson University Indoor Track Facility for the sixth straight year. This was the 76th Annual Indoor Track Field Championship for the men and the 24th for the women.

The championships began on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. with the women's pentathlon. The men followed right behind at 9:15 a.m. with the heptathlon. The action concluded around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and started back up on Sunday at 9:15 a.m. The final event, men's 4 x 400 started at 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, which was followed by the awards ceremony.

The Appalachian State men and women won the 2011 Southern Conference Indoor Track Field Championships. The title was the eighth for the Mountaineer men since 2000 and third in a row, and it is the ninth women's title for Appalachian State since 2000.

The 2010 Indoor Track and Field meet was held in Clemson, S.C. where the Appalachian State men and Western Carolina women won the 2010 Southern Conference Indoor Track Field Championships. The title was the seventh for the Mountaineer men since 2000. The Catamount women claimed their sixth championship in program history.

DIRECTIONS TO CLEMSON INDOOR FACILITY
From Atlanta, GA
Take I-85 north to Exit 14 in South Carolina. Take a left, which crosses over the interstate, onto South Carolina Highway 187 until the road runs into U.S. Highway 76 and 28. Make a left at this traffic light. Stay on this road until the Highway 93 exit, where you will exit and take a left at the stop light. The route runs into the Clemson campus. Stay straight until you reach the second traffic light after the tennis courts (tennis courts will be on the left). Take a left at the traffic light onto Perimeter Road. Go past the McFadden and Jervey Athletic Buildings, then take the second right after Jervey Gym. Follow road beside moat to the Clemson Indoor Facility and Rock Norman Outdoor Track Field Complex.

From Columbia, SC
Take I-26 west and exit onto I-385 west until it reaches I-85. Take I-85 south until it reaches exit 19-B. Take exit 19-B and Stay on this road until the Highway 93 exit, where you will exit and take a left at the stop light. The route runs into the Clemson campus. Stay straight until you reach the second traffic light after the tennis courts (tennis courts will be on the left). Take a left at the traffic light onto Perimeter Road. Go past the McFadden and Jervey Athletic Buildings, then take the second right after Jervey Gym. Follow road beside moat to the Clemson Indoor Facility and Rock Norman Outdoor Track Field Complex.

From Greenville, SC
