The 2011 Southern Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships was held on Friday, April 22^nd and Saturday, April, 23^rd.Samford University hosted the meet at their brand new track soccer complex on their campus in Birmingham Ala. This was the 87^th Annual Outdoor Track and Field Championship for the men and the 25^th annual for the women.

The championships started on Friday, April 22^nd at Track and Soccer Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. The top men's and women's teams were at the 2011 Outdoor Track and Field Southern Conference Champions. The top eight individuals in each event score, while the top 3 individuals in each event were awarded All-Conference honors.

This year the Appalachian State men and women won the 2011 Southern Conference Outdoor Track Field Championships. The title was the eighth for the Mountaineer men since 2000 and the seventh for the women since 2002.
