The 2010 Southern Conference Cross Country Championships were held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Boone, N.C. Appalachian State University hosted the event off campus at State Farm Field. This was the 81st Annual Cross Country Championship for the men and the 26th for the women. The championships began with the women's 5,000-meter run at 10 a.m. ET, followed by the men's 8,000-meter event at 10:45 a.m. at State Farm Field. The top men's team, Appalachian State University and top women's team, Samford University were named the 2010 Conference Champions, while the top 7 individuals in each race were named First Team All-Conference. Individual finishers placing 8th through 14th in each race comprised the Second Team All-Conference. The Appalachian State Mountaineers claimed the title for the men which gave them five consecutive men's team titles in 2009. The Samford Bulldogs claimed the title for the women which gave them their first team title in only their second appearance at the championships during the 2009 championship.
