The 2010 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship took place on Friday, November 5th and Sunday, November 7th. This was the 17th Annual Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship. The Quarterfinals were hosted by the top four seeds, which determined who advanced to the Semifinals/Final in Cullowhee, N.C. The semifinal matches took place on Friday, November 5th at 5:00 p.m. ET and 7:30 p.m. ET The championship match took place on Sunday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m. ET. he winner of the Women's Soccer Championship receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, which went to the UNCG Spartans this year. The No. 10 Spartans played the No. 20 South Carolina Gamecocks in the first round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, but were outscored 2-1 at Virginia's Klöckner Stadium. The Davidson Wildcats won the 2009 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship, their first title since 1996. After 109 minutes of scoreless play, Davidson found the back of the net off of a corner kick which gave them the 1-0 victory over College of Charleston.
