About the Championship

The 2011 Southern Conference Cross Country Championships was held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Trophy Lakes in Charleston, S.C on Johns Island. The College of Charleston hosted the event. This was the 82nd Annual Cross Country Championship for the men and the 27th for the women. The 2011 Championship ended with the UNCG men and women claiming both team titles. UNCG's Paul Chelimo and Ashley Schnell won both individual titles.

The Spartan men were led by Chelimo, Joey Thompson, and Abraham Kemboi.

The UNCG women were led by Schnell, Chelsea Sumney, Kerry Hartman and Shaina Sumney.
