 | About the Championship The 2011 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship will take place on Friday, November 4th and Sunday, November 6th in Greensboro, N.C. The event will be hosted on the campus of UNCG and will be the 18th annual Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship. The Quarterfinals (First Round) will be hosted by the top four seeds on Sunday, October 30th. Those games will determine who advances to the Semifinals/Final in Greensboro, N.C.In last year's championship (2010) the # 1 seeded UNCG Spartans pulled off the 1-0 win over Samford to claim their 7th Southern Conference Tournament Championship. The No. 10 nationally ranked Spartans played the No. 20 South Carolina Gamecocks in the first round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, but were outscored 2-1 at Virginia's Klöckner Stadium. | ||||
