Furman University hosted the 2017 Southern Conference Men's Soccer Championship, as the tournament returned to Greenville, South Carolina, and Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium for the fifth time overall and first time since 2013.
The No. 4-seeded Mercer upset ETSU in the semifinals and topped UNCG in the final to take its second consecutive Southern Conference Championship. Jeremy Booth, the tournament's most outstanding player, had a total of six shootout saves in the semifinals and final to lift the Bears to the 2017 crown.
