About the Championship
Furman won both the men's and women's SoCon Cross Country Championships for the second straight year. The Paladins took six of the top 10 spots in the women's race and each of the top nine spots on the men's side at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, N.C. Allie Buchalski won the women's race for the Paladins, while Tripp Hurt claimed the top spot in the men's race. Furman head coach Robert Gary was named Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year for the second straight season. The Freshman of the Year honors went to Emma Mashburn (Furman) and Aaron Templeton (Furman).
