 | About the Championship The 2013 Southern Conference Softball Championship took place in Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday, May 8th through Saturday, May 11th. The event was hosted on the campus of UNCG. This was the 20th annual Southern Conference Softball Championship. All nine softball teams participated in the championship and Georgia Southern received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA regional softball tournament. Georgia Southern took home their second-consecutvie SoCon Tournament title on a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win 1-0 over the UNCG Spartans. The Eagles will face South Florida in the Gainesville Regional. | ||||
