2017 Women's Soccer Championship

Samford University was the host of the 2017 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship in Birmingham, Alabama, on Nov. 3 and 5. The Samford University Track Soccer Stadium hosted the event for the first time since 2012 and the second time overall.

The No. 3-seeded UNCG Spartans defeated Samford 2-1 in overtime in the semifinals, before topping No. 4-seeded Western Carolina 1-0 in the finals to take the 2017 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Championship. Senior defender Regan Lehman was named the tournament's most outstanding player after assisting on the game-winning goal scored by Emily Jensen in the SoCon Championship.

2017 Champion: UNCG
